The Floral Park Neighborhood Association would like to thank all of those who submitted applications for this year’s scholarship program as well as the educators, parents and others who encouraged the students to participate.

The deadline for submissions has now passed and we have the very hard process of selecting recipients from all the outstanding students that have applied. Applications that have been mailed will still be accepted provided the postmark is before March 10,2017. Our review process takes approximately 6 – 8 weeks and we will announce this year’s scholarship recipients in late May.

Are You Interested in Setting Up a Scholarship?   Need a Tax Deduction?

Did you know that Floral Park Neighborhood Association is a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization? This means that donations to FPNA may be tax deductible for those itemizing their deductions.* There are many ways to donate that would be mutually beneficial and would be greatly appreciated by the neighborhood. For example, you could sponsor a student scholarship, perhaps one designated for a Floral Park student, or in memory of a loved one. You could contribute to or underwrite a specific project (neighborhood beautification, historic preservation project, social activities, etc.) FPNA welcomes contributions in any amount. For more information, or to make a charitable donation, please contact the FPNA Sponsorship Committee Chair Julie Humphreys or Wayne Suraci

* Individuals should consult their own tax advisors for specific information as to their own income tax returns and the basis for any deductions.
